Although I won’t lie, it’s a bit intense around here, between me trying to get ready for the National Jewish Retreat, where I’ll be speaking four times, on different subjects, and getting my kids ready for sleep away camp etc. Definitely a lot going on. And today’s guest knows all about that. I have the wonderful Abbey Wolin. Abbey is a dynamic business coach, who wasn’t always a coach. In fact, she’s learned about business in the school of hard knocks.
Like many of us, she’s had to pivot several times. She’s had to push herself out of her comfort zone in order to build a business that was scalable, and profitable. But as she achieved this, she also realized that she loves teaching women how to do this; how to build businesses, so she launched the 30 Day Biz Challenge and became the Program Coordinator for the JWE or Jewish Woman  Entrepreneur. Org. Most recently, this past June, Abbey launched AbbeyTRL – an online community where she hopes to help women live The Real Life.
Abbey takes us through her entire entrepreneurial journey. What was the turning point in her business as an artist? How did the challenge of having a special needs child change the way she was operating as an entrepreneur? We talk about the hot topic of encouraging female entrepreneurship, while making sure we are not discounting the importance of women’s roles as the central figure of family life.
