Today we start the week on Jewish Money Matters with a minisode on a topic that not too many like to talk about – retirement. But we’re not getting into the weeds of retirement. In fact if you want to get into the weeds, I suggest you tune into Episode 305 with Emily Guy Birken. We did an entire episode just on retirement, tackling the audience’s questions on the topic. Today we’re zooming out for a few minutes and reframing the concept of retirement, something we probably should do before we even start talking about retirement – which for some is such an anxiety laden topic. We first need to make sure we’re very clear on he Jewish perspective on work and making a livelihood as this is going to inform how we view and approach retirement.
