In Your Words
Episode 3: Filmmaking as a business... in your teens??? Hear Britton Thomas tell his story.
Britton Thomas. Britton Thomas Films. Black Rabbit Movie. This is my guest today. He’s an entrepreneur, a filmmaker and a most interesting discussion with a glimpse into the similarities and challenges of making a film when compared to a startup business. Britton tells a beautifully crafted story of the process of completing his first feature length movie, the heartache and the success as we walk thru his very young career in the movie making industry. You’ll also hear how he’s going to be using podcasting as a tool to both market his next film and to support other young moviemakers in their efforts. Anxiously optimistic about the movie’s release, you’ll also hear the trials a filmmaker goes thru from completion to showing. The correlation to the business of just one film to a complete startup operation is evidenced as Britton tells his very compelling story. It’s certainly one of the better ways to tease the movie’s next steps.
