Heather Godfrey has been teaching dance and working with children for over 20 years. After moving to NYC to attend Barnard College where she earned a B.A in Dance, Heather went on to pursue a career in musical theater for nearly 10 years. Highlights of her performing career included the national tour of The Will Rogers Follies, West Side Story, White Christmas, Damn Yankees, and Fiorello!

She has combined her passion for dance, performance, children and her love of the Washington Heights community through the creation of Dance Project of Washington Heights (DPWH) - a nonprofit dance organization she co-founded that provides access to dance education to the Washington Heights community.
