Improving Rural EMS Resuscitation Rates with David Grovdahl

July 30, 2013

David Grovdahl, EMT-P, is executive director of Leflore County (Okla.) EMS. He determined that there was no reason rural EMS systems couldn’t have similar improvements in cardiac arrest survival rates as seen in major metropolitan systems. He took his system and through carefully applied education and training, was able to show that remote areas could experience success as well. MedicCast host Jamie Davis, the Podmedic sits down with Dave to talk about what he’s done and how he won the EMS 10 Innovator award this year.

Thanks to EMS Today, Pennwell, and Physio-Control for sponsoring the EMS10 Awards and our ProMed Network podcast studio at EMS Today 2013 in Washington, DC.
