Jim Dunford Helps San Diego Manage EMS Resources

June 15, 2013

EMS 10 Awardee Jim Dunford joins MedicCast host Jamie Davis, the Podmedic to chat about his award winning program in San Diego, California. Dunford has directed the implementation of the San Diego Resource Access Program (RAP) and electronic Resource Access Program (eRAP), an EMS-based surveillance and case management system designed to help individuals who repeatedly accessed 9-1-1 find appropriate care.

Since its inception in 2008, RAP has evolved from a gumshoe case management approach into a health information technology (HIT)-enabled program supported by real-time EMS and computer-aided device surveillance.
