In this year’s EMS 10 Awards, the 10 winners came from all sorts of backgrounds and organizations. PulsePoint Foundation founder Richard Price is a career firefighter, Fire Chief and mobile phone app developer who came up with a solution that offers citizen responders a way to assist when someone nearby has a sudden cardiac arrest. Systems that use PulsePoint send alerts to the PulsePoint app that notifies nearby CPR trained citizens with the app installed and provides them directions to the emergency.
