Making their way from Avallónë, the group sees the effect the shadow has had on the land. They encounter evil and undeath along their route to The Cottage of Lost Play.

The characters finally escape the tower and spend the last 15 minutes of the episode discussing the Man in Black (the shadow) and their role having released this evil upon the world.

Raiken, Burin, Tesoro, and the newcomer- Ezellendur- are promptly arrested when they arrive in Avallónë. At the heart of the city is the Tower of Avallónë, where the recently stolen Master Palantír used to reside. It is also the home of the city prison, .
