台灣地熱發電只有約7.5MW裝置容量,遠遠落後多火山的印尼、菲律賓。問題不在「沒有熱」,而在「找不準」。本集與國立臺灣大學新碳勘科技研究中心郭陳澔教授,從地震波技術出發,帶我們看見地熱與碳封存的下一步。
台灣火山體積小、中央山脈以變質岩為主,地質條件比典型火山帶複雜許多,往前走幾公里,地下結構就完全不同。過去多依賴「大地電阻」找有水、有裂隙的地方,但水不一定是熱水,愈深解析度愈差,常常「鑽下去才發現不對」,導致投資風險高、腳步保守,才有今天發電量偏低的現況。
台大團隊導入地震波探勘與深度學習,不再只看「哪裡有水」,而是同時判讀水、裂隙、熱源、封蓋層四大關鍵元素。現在一顆地震儀只要兩三千元,就能布滿整個場域,大量收集訊號,再用AI快速分析,大幅提升解析度與成功率。過去地熱探勘常以「年」為單位,做完野外、回來算資料、再解釋;現在同樣規模的場域,有機會在兩三個月內交出初步報告,讓業者一年能多評估好幾個潛力場址,少走冤枉路。
