How to be a Redhead
Molly Day: Movement & Self-Acceptance Tips from a Redhead Professional Fitness Instructor
First and foremost, our thoughts & prayers are with the LA community. The fires are devastating, and it's a city we love and adore. We have been following this Instagram page to share the word on where to get the most help.
Our next guest is Molly Day. She is a NYC-based fitness professional and former professional dancer. She had the privilege of dancing for the Knicks City Dancers and the Celtics Dancers. She has performed alongside many singers and entertainers such as Meghan Trainor, Sugar Hill Gang, and Ashanti. After leaving the dance world, Molly decided to focus on shifting the expected narrative of the fitness industry.
With a degree in Applied Psychology from NYU, Molly focuses on the importance of mental health care within the movement world. She is the creator and founder of Moves With Molly, a signature series of fitness classes based on science and led with the belief that all movement should be joyful. Her personal fitness philosophy is based on three pillars: body neutrality, accessibility, and building one's self-esteem. Each of her classes are rhythmic and based on emotions. She often says, “Movement can bring up so many feelings that we are not even aware of, and moving to the beat of music with other people can be healing.”
She teaches classes across New York City and on-demand via her YouTube channel. Molly’s goal is to build a movement centered around fitness that becomes a safe space for everyone.
