Our next guest is one of Ireland's biggest broadcasters, Angela Scanlon. She's also a presenter and author known for hosting shows on BBC One, BBC Two, and RTE One, with a brand-new weekend breakfast show on Virgin Radio.

Beginning her career as a stylist in Ireland, Angela’s work led her into TV studios, where she fell in love with broadcasting. Fronting her first major documentary, Oi Ginger!, airing in 2014 on RTE to critical acclaim, this led to a follow-up series, Angela Scanlon: Full Frontal in 2015, which tackled taboo subjects such as extreme makeovers, fitness, and nudity.

Since beginning her work with the BBC, Angela has hosted cult classic Robot Wars alongside Dara O’Brien, BBC Two’s hit interior design show Your Home Made Perfect, Trump's Unlikely Superfans for BBC Three, and hosted coverage of both T In The Park and the BAFTAs. Last year, Angela took part in Strictly Come Dancing (like America's Dancing with the Stars) with her pro partner Carlos Gu, alongside other 2023 contestants Bobby Brazier, Krishnan Guru-Murphy and Layton Williams. One of Ireland’s biggest broadcasters, she has her own Saturday night chat show, Angela Scanlon’s Ask Me Anything on RTÉ One.

Aside from her broadcasting work, Angela published her first book, Joyrider, in 2022. It is part empowering guide and part memoir about the importance of bringing gratitude into everyday life. Angela also runs a successful business in her jewelry brand, aptly named FRKL after her own freckles!
