Topic: Learning to pay attention to our horse's breathing is the main way we know if our horse is getting too stressed physically - whether it is from hard work or because it's just so dang hot! Reminder that our horse's temp should be between 99-102˚ F when normal. A fever is when the temp reaches 102.5˚ F or higher and our horse needs to immediately cool down while we also call the vet. Managing high temps, how to slowly cool down our horse after hard work and how we can adjust our training during hot days are all covered.
