Jen Butler is Homegrown Christianity episode 3

February 19, 2014

The HomeGrown Christianity series is pleased to welcome Jen Butler to discuss creation-care and Christian perspectives.

We talk about the unique opportunity of our times and the challenges that are posed when addressing eco-theology in a seminary setting.

The Reverend Jennifer L. Butler is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, where she currently serves in a call at First Congregational UCC in Corvallis, Oregon. In addition to pastoring, she is an adjunct instructor at George Fox Seminary, where she teaches ecology, theology, and ethics in the Earthkeeping concentration. Her first book (co-authored with two of her teaching colleagues), On Earth as in Heaven, will be published in 2014 by Baker Academic Press.

As you will hear in the interview, she wrote her master’s thesis on ecofeminism and evangelicalism. You will enjoy her insights and passion about the variety of issues that impact the subject.
