Healthy University: Episode 16 – Sadie the Ambasadog for Generations Against Bullying

April 02, 2016

Joal Derse Dauer and Sadie join host Alan Eisenberg to share their message of survival and recovery. Sadie the dog was found in the mountains of Kentucky with a bullet hole between her eyes and one in her back put there after she had a litter of puppies and left to die.
Through a series of events, Sadie was transported to a no-kill shelter in Wisconsin where Joal Derse Dauer found her while donating blankets. Joal states “As I was walking out, I saw Sadie and asked what her story was. I was curious because even though her head was hanging down, I thought that she was beautiful and saw a sparkle in her eyes.”
In that moment, Joal felt deep in her heart this little girl deserved to know what “love” looks like. She took Sadie home and they began a healing adventure to Save Sadie. With the help of an amazing team of professionals & numerous natural alternative therapies, Sadie is alive, happy and living life.
Sadie still requires daily therapy and has some disabilities, but it never stops her.
In her free time she travels the world in her little green and yellow wagon educating others that anything is possible.
Sadie’s goal is to spread her message “think about what you can do in life, not what you cannot do.”
Her message gives hope to those who perhaps need a little boost, she represents the importance of understanding and acceptance of disabilities and she is an ambassador-dog for anti-bullying.
The animal- human connection is powerful and her message “barks” louder when you look at her than any words..
