Dennis Lloyd Martin was six-years-old at the time of his disappearance, and vanished while camping with his family at the Spence Field Shelter in near Cades Cove. Despite a search effort that would prove to be the largest in National Park Service history, searchers were unable to find Dennis Martin, nor any clear indication of what might have happened to him. Are there still things we can learn about a “cold case” like this even half a century later?
