125 Hammond Circus Train Wreck

September 06, 2023

Do the victims of the Hammond circus train wreck still haunt this Earth? One of the worst train crashes in history happened in Hammond, IN in June of 1918. Over 50 Hagenbeck Wallace circus performers died when their train was hit by a troop train whose conductor fell asleep. The bodies were buried at the Showman’s Rest plot at Woodlawn Cemetery in IL. Are their spirits at rest? Listen and you decide!

Questions Discussed in this Episode

Why was the circus train stopped? Did they put out warnings? Why did the conductor fall asleep? What made the crash as bad as it was? Who died in the crash? Why were they buried in Woodlawn Cemetery? What noises do people believe they hear when at the cemetery? Is anything haunting the crash site?
