Oak Island Money Pit. What began in 1795 as a simple discovery of a circular depression in the ground has led, over the years, to many excavations made of the money pit on Oak Island in Nova Scotia, Canada. Coins, chests, a body, & other items of interests have been claimed to have been discovered or seen at the site, but none as interesting as a supposed stone found 90 feet down which, when decoded, stated that '40 feet below, two million pounds are buried'. Many men have tried to discover the secrets of Oak Island. Six men thus far have lost their lives. Is there treasure or some ancient holy relic buried beneath Oak Island? Has anyone come close to discovering its secrets? Will current excavations prove fruitful?
