Entertainment Reporter Talks Power Party, Career & Britney Spears - Gay Ambition Podcast Episode 10

September 19, 2013

Producing the latest episode of Gay Ambition Podcast was a nail biter for me – I didn’t know how it was going to turn out until the very last minute.  Yesterday, I sat down with Chris Parente at Hamburger Mary’s in Denver and had lunch as we recorded the interview on my iPhone.  Chris and I have been connected on Twitter for some time, and this was the first time we met in person.  I have always considered asking him to do an interview and what reminded me to finally reach out was the fact that he will be hosting the Power Party in Denver next month.

The Power Party is put on by Out Front, and because the publication has recently picked up the podcast, I thought ‘what a great opportunity to ask Chris more about the event!’

In addition to this event, Chris and I discuss:

  • What makes a good interview.
  • Britney Spears, the brand new single ‘Work Bitch’, and Chris’ experience interviewing her last year.
  • Why gay men are inspired by female entertainers.
  • How Chris created his career path and the investments he made in himself.
  • Advice about how to be true to yourself and happy in your career and life.
  • The importance of learning improv fundamentals, no matter what profession you are in.
