Gay Ambition Podcast Episode 3

June 13, 2013

The first thing I noticed when I walked into Brad Clark’s office after being escorted by the smiling, cheerful young man at the entrance was his shelf of photos.  Behind his desk, there were photos of Brad with powerful people – the movers and shakers in our community and various other leaders.  The photo that I couldn’t stop staring at was a beautiful shot with Mr. Clark and President Obama.  It reminded me of what I refer to as the “power wall†in my own apartment with the people I have met, an eclectic collection of photos, my prizes.

This was the first time I met Brad and did not know what to expect as I walked down the hall.  I had secured this interview two weeks prior after replying to an email Brad sent to the One Colorado email list, describing what my personal vision was to give back to the LGBT community and asking him if he would share his story for my podcast.  After a handshake and some small talk I pulled out my iPad, pressed record and we got started with the interview.  I was so absorbed in our conversation that I forgot to ask Brad for a photo for my own collection at the end.  Maybe next time!
