GameTime Cleveland 176: Browns Sink the Ravens

November 06, 2013
Summary:

The Browns get a rare win against the Ravens and snap an 11 game losing streak to the AFC North rivals. Ohio State had no trouble at all with Purdue in pitching a blowout shutout victory. That’s 22 in a row for the Buckeyes. The Cavs split their first week but welcomed Andrew Bynum to the court. It’s GameTime!

Hosts: Mike Kresic, Tom Kresic

Running Time: 42:14

1Q: Browns versus Ravens, part 2

  • Browns win 24-18.

  • Campbell throws 3 TDs, plays after injuring his ribs.

  • Davone Bess responded with his best game. 2 TDs, one on 4th and goal. Also another key catch on 4th down to keep a drive alive in the 4th.

  • Greg Little had a great receiving game and some stupid personal fouls. He also injured his shoulder after a big catch and run in the 2nd half.

  • Browns won without big contributions from Gordon or Cameron. Or the running game.

2Q: Browns alone in 2nd place

  • This time, a fumbled punt return did in the opponent as Tandon Doss fumbled for Baltimore in what led to our 3rd TD of the game.

  • And Bess makes the sliding 4th down catch when Campbell rolled to his right late in the game. Deja vu.

  • Haden made his 1st INT of the year (nice to back up his mouth during the week when he said the Ravens were not the same Ravens of old).

  • Defense was all over Flacco and shut down Ray Rice for the 2nd time this season.

3Q: Buckeyes dominate Purdue

  • OSU trounces Purdue 56-0.

  • Urban said he didn’t like the look in the eyes of the team before kickoff, so he lit into them. They responded and came out firing.

  • The offense is on a roll. 28 points in the 1st quarter.

  • Braxton didn’t need to run at all (7 yards) and passed for 4 TDs.

  • All 3 QBs played again for the Buckeyes.

4Q: Cavs open the season but have work to do

  • Cavs are 2-2 to start the year.

  • Team adjusting to Mike Brown’s offense (sound familiar)?

  • CJ Miles has been a bright spot in the early going.

  • #1 pick Anthony Bennet did not score a single field goal through the first four games.

  • Kyrie not loving Mike Brown’s offense. Does this sound familiar?
