FTSQ Podcast: Celebrating non-conformists

#5 Even non-conformists need to belong – Minter Dial (Futurist, Author, Intl. Speaker)

December 13, 2019

This is the fifth episode of our ‘Celebrating non-conformist’s series’. It unpacks and celebrates the thinking, philosophy, experiences and lives of as many non-conformists as Lena Robinson, founder/fixer of FTSQ, can find to interview.

Minter Dial takes us on an eclectic life journey. Born to American parents in Belgium, educated in England, not speaking until he was three, being kicked out of his first school at the age of five, being the non-conformist at Eaton, but being ‘inspired’ by the Deadhead in the ‘orange room’. It’s a winding story of contextual non-conformity that weaves its way through Etonian larks, 15 country and 34 home moves, World War II veterans, dope smoking long-haired students, watching the second plane fly into the Twin Towers on 9/11, writing books and 200+ Grateful Dead concerts. This is a doozie of a story.
