Voices From The Future: Millennials on the Move.

September 23, 2025

I can remember when an application was required for employment. A program was a TV show. Memory was something you lose with age, and a CD was a bank account.I love intergenerational conversations about the past and the present. Perhaps this is because I believe life is a process, not an event. It is a journey, not a destination. We also know that events shape values and behavior. Trends change over time.

This week, we feature another group in our “Voices from the Future” series. Our episode focuses on how Millennials’ unique experiences—both inherited and self-created—have shaped their values, behaviors, and perspectives. Specifically, we explore how these influences inform Millennials’ approaches to technology, bullying, and social media in their daily lives.

Joining our conversation are three Millennials, young adults who began their adulthood in the 21st century. Often described as family-focused and achievement-minded, they value teamwork and seek fulfillment, sometimes changing roles to find it. Their openness to attention and new experiences shapes their approach to life and work.

In this episode, our guests discuss their views on technology, bullying, and social media. They share why they do not use voicemail. They discuss how perspectives on bullying have evolved. They also explain why they see social media as both valuable and risky. This discussion offers listeners insight into how Millennials navigate key issues today.
