Moments of Mindfulness: How do you spell HOME with Gale Morgan of The Mather?

September 01, 2020

How have you changed how you feel about HOME in the last six months?

During the pandemic, HOME has become forever energy posing as classrooms, daycare, science labs, offices, churches, gyms, potential technological nightmares, playgrounds, and hospitals all at the same time. Physical space that used to feel sufficient, and often spacious, now feels like "not enough."

Nursing homes have necessarily become barriers to physical expressions of love and a barometer of how successfully our country is winning the pandemic war.

The powerlessness of the season has motivated feelings of concern about the future of the housing market, the economy, education, work environments, and healthcare. New descriptive vocabulary emphasizes the unknown to include "back to normal", "new normal" "essential workers", "remote" "hybrid" "telehealth" , "pre-existing conditions"and Zoom.

Generational definitions and dependencies feel upended. The second-largest generation of 73 million Baby Boomers consider how and where they can sustain their independence, connections, travel for leisure, enjoy hobbies, stay fit, and relevant, and have adequate healthcare as needed.

If you are a Boomer or love a Boomer, you will delight in this edition of Moments of Mindfulness. Gale Morgan, Senior Vice President of Sales for The Mather, walks us through doors to satisfying answers to these questions and more. The conversation reveals wonderfully new and creative ways for Boomers and their loved ones to spell HOME positively.
