Help For Brain Fog

October 04, 2013

If you want help for brain fog, you’re not alone. Hundreds of thousands (if not millions!) of people suffer with symptoms of brain fog. They don’t know what to do about it.

Their brains are so foggy and confused, they can’t think through a problem. Why? Effectively, each sufferer is partially, mentally incapacitated compared to the person they used to be or want now to be! That can be scary.

Lately, a young woman wrote me in response to a blog post on the Health Matters Show. She was experiencing brain fog in a terrible way and had to prepare for her LSATs (tests). She felt that she could not do it well and was terribly worried. (You may want to take a quick read of the referenced post to understand the link of why and how brain fog and PTSD are related. The quoted scientist explains this in terms you can understand.)

Below is my response to the woman who inquired, paraphrased to include even more information that hopefully can help you, too…

I appreciate your questions and I’ll try to answer you based on the facts you submitted. Memories of a traumatic event can be outright and terrifying (as in PTSD) or the trauma can lie in your memory banks more easily. (At least it appears that way!) For example, something happens, yet you’re not worried about it. You assume you can put the event behind you. No lasting effects of it will linger.

Unfortunately, often what one person can consciously handle and be relatively unaffected by may go right to the core of someone else. The latter is left with major scars. Curiously and tragically enough, these affected ones don’t always know the damage that unconscious thoughts can do. These traumatic memories and the thoughts generated by them will continue to impact the person unless they are addressed and resolved properly.

Take for instance, a teacher reprimanded you in class, even though you know you did your best. Yes, someone in authority called you down in front of everyone and you’re left there proverbially bare bones and naked! Such an event doesn’t help your self-esteem. It can re-kindle past feelings of inadequacy.

Those feelings encourage ill-health. They allow fortuitous infections, like the flu, to take hold. Think of how one person continues to thrive during flu season, but the next one catches the illness as soon as it shows up. Each person’s immune system needs to be balanced and healthy to ward off invaders. If you are suffering with self-esteem issues or other types of PTSD symptoms (even the small ones), your immune system could be quite unhealthy! You may be an unknowing candidate for brain fog or worse symptoms.

Absolutely, I have found that such self-esteem issues are at the root of persistent health problems. The result of this can be brain fog. If you take steps to look at these issues and handle them (no matter how small they seem right now), you very likely will be able to improve your health. Then, you can look forward to the time when symptoms of brain fog will begin to clear, like the sun coming out after a hard rain and the air smells delightfully fresh!

Add to these facts, brain fog all by itself is a massive and tricky problem. It can set up shop when your immune system is over-activated, after a period of illness or it can linger simply because “energetically” your mind, body and spirit are not functioning well together. You’re un-balanced. You’re susceptible to illness!

These factors are some of the reasons why I suggest that folks work on these issues all at the same time => with a combination of energy medicine and spiritual medicine. By doing so, I am able to help others re-establish their good health. I find that this process works well and relatively fast. Plus…people get their lives and health back! :-)

*If I can help you or answer any questions that you have, send me a comment and your phone number. (I am happy to keep your phone number only for communication between the two of us.) And, I am happy to call you for a talk session. That way I can learn more about you. It would count as a “free” fifteen minute introduction, so you would incur no charges.*

Next, I urge you to monitor your body’s inflammatory level. Consume foods and supplements that help with reducing inflammation. Think of having a cold and how hard it is to think through a problem or to recall a memory. The same thing happens when system-wide our bodies experience more inflammation.

And lastly, brain fog can be a fairly lasting side effect of some illnesses, if not addressed. It is common in people suffering to any degree with Fibromyalgia or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. It has been known to affect people with other illnesses, too, such as Lupus, chronic Lyme, and autoimmune-related problems.

Leave a comment today and let’s continue exploring these issues for you!

Thanks so much, Cinda Crawford
