Mind Body Healing Techniques
If you’re asking what Mind Body Healing Techniques have to do with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or any illness, you’re probably not aware that most aspects of an ill body are conjoined with every other aspect.
For instance, let’s consider the emotions, how the mind functions and the health of your spiritual self. And especially if you’re terribly sick with an illness, you know you don’t feel balanced, steady or exactly where you should be. How can you? You’re sick!
Considering Fibro and CFS specifically, they both are all over illnesses. That means it’s not simply your big toe that hurts. You’re sick throughout your entire being. It’s difficult to count exactly how many symptoms you have in what places, how many symptoms have cleared up or when they and their kissing cousins might come back again!
So today let’s examine four types of “Mind body healing techniques” that address the whole body as a unit. I know what I created, 1) Sacred Cellular Healing can and often does do exactly that: it helps a person heal in the best and most comprehensive ways. You can read about it on the page links. Since you probably want to know more about the other forms of inner healing, too, let’s explore a few. You want to be well informed. Here’s the other info, too…
2) Massage. It is all over, hands to body contact that works out the kinks, knots and disparities of your body that can be reached from the outside skin covering. With deep pressure massage, muscles, fascia and the like can be positively affected, too. Massage stimulates the relaxation response in that muscle tension is eased and a more natural, internal environment is encouraged.
(*There are many types of hands on therapy that also incorporate this same activity as massage, plus also help to promote energy healing, too. It’s important to note that energy healing can be done via touch or without touching at all. The method chosen depends on the person offering the healing and how he or she is trained to do the work for you.)
3) Talk therapy and biofeedback. Obviously, talk therapy with a therapist can help you sort through your problems. But it is up to you if you actually make headway at solving those problems or stay mired in confusion, depression or disappointment. With biofeedback, this is usually a guided process with an electric biofeedback machine. Instructions are given and you, the respondent, are guided with the information of how to lower your body’s “response”. When and if you achieve the desired, positive response, you will have successfully lowered your body’s perceived stress. Being able to control your inner responses to life’s stresses is always a positive result.
4) Hands-on osteopathic manipulation and chiropractic manipulation can help on the physical side and on the mind, body, spirit side, too. Whether you get this benefit or not depends on two things: (a) your health technician and (b) you. Now all people derive anything more than physical manipulations from a “plain” medical professional. If you want more, ask him or her how you can participate in such a healing technique. If they smile, take in their words because they probably have something interesting to say. If they look at you like you just stepped off a space ship from Mars, know that this person doesn’t know what you’re talking about.
Not all medical professionals are either knowledgeable, trained or amenable to the concepts of mind, body, spirit medicine. Some may be inclined to dip their toe in the water and acknowledge that relaxation helps, prayer can be useful, etc. But, so far, not that many will encourage you to dig deeply into yourself to both figure out how “you” are playing a part in your own illness -and/or- help you figure out how to make the changes necessary to move past it. (Both are critical junction points before you will be capable of significantly moving on.)
If you’re ready to take such a critical step forward now, get it touch with me. As a health consultant who has helped a lot of people walk this path by using mind body healing techniques, accept my words of encouragement that better health can be a part of your future. And soon!
