Take the Bull by the Horns
The last few weeks we’ve talked about how to set up your body to be the healthiest it can be.
To do that well requires you to take the bull by the horns! Today I’m going to tell you exactly HOW to do it!
1st off decide how important health and healing are to your life. Both of these aspirations rank very high for most people. Let’s take a moment to drill down on this point further. The majority of people improve their health the most by putting themselves and their health at the top of their own list. Statistics prove that to be true. That’s because people want three things when it comes to health: to actually be healthy, to get rid of any and all illnesses within the body and lastly, to enjoy good health once we achieve it. To accomplish all three objectives, you and I must tackle the age old question of how to be healthy first.
That means we must begin with the basics = CELLS. As we live and breathe and old cells go through apoptosis and die, that makes room in our bodies for new, healthy cells. If you’ve done the right things and are maintaining a healthy body, you will be able to make really healthy new cells. That means your health level likely improves and keeps improving!
The next step is critically important when illness is present– healing from the inside out. If necessary, readjust your goals to include really cultivating an inner environment of health. You want to consume the right foods, beverages and supplements to truly nourish your body and create the best health.
When that begins to feel real to you, then cement this important fact into your brain with mental super glue if necessary. For all eternity: it will be critically important and ultimately of the highest value to think positive thoughts or think positively. This missing-link-step goes hand in hand with your being able to create good health. And, if you foster a balanced mind, body and spirit homeostatic state within you and support it by thinking positively, you’re practicing the “power of intention” and mentally creating your future healthy body instantly before it comes into actual being. Incredible? Yes. Possible, doable and exciting? Yes, yes, yes! *Note: make it a habit to think positive and shut down negative self-talk and the damage it can silently do if you don’t.
Master this vital skill if you’re chronically ill from any health problem. Thinking positively is the point at which poor chronic health gives away to improving health. A turning point, a crucial event with your ultimate healing outcome intended and purposed by you. That’s what you wanted all along–to be more in control of your health and once again be healthy again!
The next three points begin with sleeping well and learning to adopt and live a deeper, more complete spiritual life. The explanation of why this is so important was covered last week. It is absolutely vital.
And, finally on that list, be aware that you are not only responsible for creating your inner mental health environment, but also if and when you take the bull by the horns, you will do what is necessary to make your total, good health happen. Yes, long term, good quality health. Now that’s an empowering thought.
