Fibromyalgia Stress: Tired and Need a Vacation!
(Today’s video podcast is 6 minutes 15 seconds.)
How many times have I said quietly or aloud, “It’s time for a break from CFS and Fibro!”? Too many. Today I’m taking action because the topics of Fibromyalgia stress and CFS are foremost on my mind. I’m thinking, ready to shout and possibly go in another direction. That’s because “I’m tired. I need a vacation!” Now, please hang in here with for another moment and allow me to explain.
Actually, it’s not illness symptoms that are getting me down. Actually, they haven’t been this few or bothersome in a long, long time. I’m feeling good, except for one thing.
“Fibromyalgia stress!”
The sheer long-lasting stress of running a seven year Fibromyalgia and CFS blog and podcast are the culprit!
Yes, the stress of running a seven year blog and podcast is getting to me. To be completely open and transparent, it has taken a toll on me: the future and continuing improvement of my health, my life, the things I want to accomplish and more. In essence, I feel like a broken bone that’s not getting the time it needs to heal. This is where you come in… .
Much of the reason why is because of my stubbornness to proceed on…always onward. People with CFS and Fibro have come to expect the Health Matters Show blog and podcast to always be around. And maybe it will. But the point I’m making today is that, all of that could change quickly. That’s because I’m making up my mind which way to go with my work, mission and the Health Matters Show. Yes, I’m considering whether to take a bit of a break from this schedule or change it entirely. What does that mean? If you want the Health Matters Show to continue, you need to tell me why and how it should continue. And, tell me NOW.
The last few months have been hectic. The last few weeks (with preparing for and celebrating 2013 Awareness Day, while I had a home remodel in full swing at the same time) have been truly crazy. In essence, I overdid myself! For Awareness Day, I hosted 3 interviews by 2 separate guests and every single portion of what I presented turned out to be great information. This work was done by me alone and there lies part of the problem.
I need you. Maybe you didn’t know that, but I do. I need your involvement, your participation, your comments and more. As I have been wracking my brain to understand what is happening and what to do about it, I am mindful of you and your needs in suffering with illness symptoms. You’re likely:
- Almost always tired
- Feel out-of-sorts. Think symptoms, aches, pains, how hard life is to live!
- You’re wrapped up in your own daily drama of trying to survive!
That doesn’t allow you enough energy or initiative for much else. During the celebratory time period for the “2013 Celebration”, I sincerely asked for comments. I got only a very few on Facebook. I got less on the Health Matters Show blog.
What’s going on? I’m wondering if you still like to access a blog? A podcast? Is this still a good choice for you? I’m wondering if this is “how” you want to receive your information. (The video explains my dilemma better.) Folks, changes on my end need to be made, because as it stands now, I’m spinning in place, getting nowhere and ending up very dizzy!!*@^%)@
So, please let me know what you like, when and how. You are free to submit your choices; anything reasonable will be considered, however, I only have so much energy, time and money to devote. Most of all, tell me “how” you like to consume your information. What devices do you use to access it? (Computer, tablet or cell phone?) Do you prefer YouTube videos? About what topics do you “really” want to learn about? What time of day is best for you?
Believe me that this specific information will really help me make the changes I need to make. And importantly, it will keep me from running off in the corner of the room with the screaming meemies. Yes, “It’s time for a break from CFS and Fibro!” And, I might add, doing things in the same old way. If you have thoughts please, please, please comment below. TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT!
Thanks so much,
Cinda Crawford, your host
