 Coach Heather Tarr, Head Coach at the University of Washington joins the Smart Softball experience to share her softball history starting in baseball and transitioning into softball. Coach Tarr shares some of the lessons she learned after their 2009 National Championship Season. Listen to what Coach Tarr looks for in a recruit.


 


Bio: Heather Tarr will enter her eleventh year at the helm of the Husky Softball team in 2015. Tarr has compiled an overall record of 401-179-1 with her alma mater. In 2014, UW made their 21st consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament and 10th straight under the leadership of Tarr. The Huskies hosted the Regional tournament for the 5th consecutive year and for a 6th time in Tarr’s 10 seasons. Tarr earned her 400th win after defeating Northwestern, 9-0 in five innings to make their seventh consecutive Super Regionals appearance. Tarr guided the Huskies to their ninth Super Regional berth in her tenure.
