Sky Pirates and Talking Cats with Daniel Potter on the Books and Authors Fantasy and Sci-Fi Podcast

August 17, 2020

This is the Books and Authors Fantasy Podcast Episode 129 with Daniel Potter.

Good day and welcome to this episode of the Books and Authors Fantasy and Sci-Fi Podcast. I’m your host, podcaster and author of Fun Fantasy Reads, Jamie Davis. This podcast is exactly what the title says it is, a show focused on everything in fantasy books.

This show will cover everything to do with fantasy books. From Epic Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, Sword and Sorcery, and everything in between, expect to find the best and brightest authors from all the various corners of the fantasy book world. Plus we’ll add in a few other very special guests as well along the way.

Kicking off things this week, I’ll dive in with my own writing update. I should wrap up the first draft of The Paramedic’s Amazon this week. That’s book 8 in my Extreme Medical Services Series. Which means I’m going to be diving right back in for the first round or edits and rewrites of that story. I have an editor waiting to work on it so I have to get cracking.

I’m also beginning the plotting stages of my next project which is a trilogy picking up where I left off with my Accidental Champion series. Yes, I’m starting on another book about Hal, Cari, and Mona Dix and their family adventures in Fantasma. Check out the first six books in that series over at my site, https://jamiedavisbooks.com.

Stay tuned for more updates at my facebook group, including sneak peeks of upcoming covers, special giveaways, and more. Just look up on Facebook, Jamie’s Fun Fantasy Readers. And don’t forget to catch up with me over at my website and blog, JamieDavisBooks.com. I look forward to hearing from you.

Let’s go ahead with today’s interview with Daniel Potter. Daniel writes about creatures that are generally considered highly improbable, from talking cats, flying reptiles made of living metal and people who sprout foot long talons when annoyed.

As a biologist he should know better but he’s always ready to leave reality outside if needs too, no matter how much it scratches at the door. He’s the author of two series, Freelance Familiars, a unique and proper take on urban fantasy from the familiar’s perspective and Rise of the Horned Serpent which is best described as Sky Pirates Versus Dragons.

Join me as I chat with Daniel and talk about his Freelance Familiars series.
