In June 1763, Detroit, Michigan, a British Captain James Dalyell and 58 of his crew were followed close to the banks of the Detroit River by an odd, small, deformed crimson-clad figure with penetrating eyes, a large fanged mouth, and a TERRIFYING RED FACE. What was this creature they encountered? Was it a man, or strange beast?
