Shontelle Stowers - NSW Women's Rugby Player
After making her debut at the famous Hong Kong Sevens, Shontelle Stowers went on to compete in every tournament in her first year as a member of the Australian Sevens squad.
While she only played one game in her debut tournament, Stowers got off the mark early by notching her first international Sevens in that sole match against Hong Kong.
She proved herself further in London, competing in all five of Australia’s matches and adding a further four tries to her tally.
Originally from New Zealand and having previously represented the Australian Wallaroos, Stowers is one of several members of the squad with representative duties in both 15s and Sevens.
Stowers reached the impressive milestone of 100 points for Australia, with her 20th try in the green and gold coming against Brazil in China.
