ABOUT OUR GUESTS
$300 was all she had when she arrived on the shores of Brisbane in the late 90's after leaving her home in Alberta Canada. With the only dream to "do something different", andrea started her journey by travelling around Australia living and working in some of the most remote places you can find.
From Whale watching boats in Hervey Bay, to singing in pubs in Coober Pedy and even running pubs in Cape York, Andrea traveled the road less travelled until eventually arriving on hard tarmac in Sydney.
Working for an online community called "Unimail" in 1999, she quickly found her footing and bought into the company a short time later. That was 14 yrs, 6 companies and 2 countries ago.
Andrea has sold & started companies since her early 20's. Currently, she runs 2 business, one a long standing graduate guide and website that helps students transition into employment called: Unigrad and the other a branding agency agency called Harteffect.
In 2009, the Unimail Group was awarded the Telstra Small Business and Andrea was awarded Young businesswoman of the Year. In 2010, they made the BRW Fast 100 List and the company has gone on to win or be a finalist for another 30 awards.
Andrea's real passion is authenticity. She believes that true success comes from being who you are, as a business and as a person and her mission is to help companies build credible powerful authentic brands through research, creativity and strategy.
Located in both Australia and Canada, Andrea and the Harteffect team have worked with top companies across the globe including Avanade, Accenture, Coles, L’Oreal, Unilever and the Department of Defence.
Andrea resides in the inner west but her inner soul resides in the forest at the base of a mountain , next to a lake somewhere in the rockies.

Steve was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Blacktown, in Sydney’s western suburbs. He completed his B.Com at UNSW, and became a CPA (Accountant).
Steve’s first role was in a wholesale travel agency which also sold tickets in less known airlines such as Ethiopian Airlines, Air Zimbabwe and Asiana Airlines.
He has over 13 years’ experience in corporate Accounting and Finance roles, and over 10 years with Macquarie Group in senior finance roles.
The love for business class travel developed from the multiple trips to India while he headed up an off-shoring project. Steve saw that frequent flyer points could be utilised in more advanced ways to achieve significant value and savings.
Steve left Macquarie in Dec 2011, to further develop his knowledge, fine-tune the business process and algorithms. Luckily this meant he actually had to fly around in First and Business class to road-test the service.
In October 2012, iFLYflat was launched, and the first customer signed up in Jan 2013. Already iFLYflat has saved its members over $200,000 in travel expenditure.
