John Bechini - VBO Australia

John Bechini has worked in the interior design industry for the past 10 years with a focus on the business side of the industry. Prior to this Johncame from the world of advertising where he worked in account management for international and local agencies on a number of high profile accounts including Foxtel, Lion Nathan, and the launch of the GST for the ATO.

An interest in business, marketing and design pushed john to pursue his degree in business and marketing and embark on a process of professional and self education in the design industry, focusing predominantly on the more technical area of lighting.

In 2010 John’ experience, education and personal reputation within the industry lead him to be approached for the purpose of starting a new company within the lighting industry for one of Australia’s leading lighting organisations, for the purpose of increasing market share, turn over and profit for the company, which currently has a 45% market share of the industry.

VBO Australia and New Zealand was born in July 2010 with the exclusive distributorship of the Viabizzuno lighting range out of Italy, which is currently one of the fastest growing and most dynamic company’s within the industry internationally. Viabizzuno work with important architects and designers around the world on major projects such as galleries, hotels, commercial and high end retail projects as well as high end bespoke homes.

John’s leadership of the company and his experience in business, marketing, sales management, people skills and love of design has seen VBO become a well recognised competitor within the lighting industry in a fairly short time.

Bechini brings a level of personal style to the area, ensuring that recognition and awareness are maximised.
