Tim Davies - 2DayFM

Tim Davies is a journalist and producer who has worked in the Australian media for almost a decade.

Starting out ‘on the dark side’ - Tim began his career working in public relations where he developed key contacts within the industry along with a love for brand activations and issues/crisis management.

While working in PR, Tim was offered a role in the Sydney newsroom of DMG Radio. For 3 months he managed to juggle both positions while deciding which career path to pursue.

The pre-dawn starts and lacklustre pay in radio somehow won Tim over.

Before long, Tim spent 5 years in the newsroom where he worked as a news editor and news presenter on both Nova 969 and Vega 953 (now SmoothFM).

Natural progression from radio to television occurred and Tim later took up various roles within the Seven Network as a producer across programs including Sunrise, The Morning Show, 7 News and Sunday Night.

In May 2013, Tim Davies was called back to radio-land and stepped into the role as news presenter and ‘voice of reason’ on The Kyle & Jackie O Show on Sydney’s 2DayFM.

Over the years Tim has covered some of the biggest news stories both here and around the world – including two Olympics (Beijing 2008 & London 2012), the Royal Wedding, the refugee crisis in Kenya, Presidential and Royal tours, elections, floods, bush fires and many, many red carpet events.

Tim’s love of his job and industry comes from the fact that no two days are ever the same.
