1stavailable.com.au is a 24/7 online channel for finding and booking healthcare appointments instantly, using any web-connected device. Consumers can now track down open appointments, including last minute cancellations, with registered GPs, dentists, physiotherapists, chiropractors and other allied health services, at times and locations that best suit them.
Since 1stAvailable.com.au began publishing health appointments in April 2012, thousands of people across Australia have used the innovative service.
In his spare time, Klaus Bartosch is very active in the community, fighting all types of causes.
He is the man who took on Jetstar recently over excess credit card surcharge fees. Last month Klaus started a petition on change.org which has so far been signed by more than 42,000 people (and counting). When Jetstar refused to meet with him, he presented them with a huge paper plane containing all of the signatures. That battle continues.
He has also become an avid cyclist. In fact, cycling is changing his life. Two years ago he formed a team of 15 cyclists and together they participated in the inaugural Ride to Conquer Cancer. Despite having arthritis in his knee he cycled 240 kilometres and personally raised $10,000 towards cancer research, while the team collectively raised over $50,000.
This year, his goal is to complete all six Ride To Conquer Cancer rides in Australia and New Zealand and raise $500,000 for research to help conquer cancer. He has been joined by another 26 amazing cyclists to help him reach this goal.
