Natasha-Hawker-300x225Natasha Hawker – Employee Matters

Natasha started Employee Matters, with her partner Mark because they see many small to medium businesses (SMEs) that desperately need help with their people issues. We believe that you need HR support at particular times in your business but not necessarily in a full-time capacity.

We know that to have a successful business you need to be surrounded by a great team to help you deliver your service or product and free up your time to focus on your business critical issues.

So they integrated Natasha’s extensive HR and business experience with Mark’s finance background, to provide the HR support and business understanding that you need.

James Nathan - Food Orbit

James founder of Food Orbit, has always been a mad foodie but was stuck in his corporate nine to five job. After the long hard day in front of a computer, when most people would be heading out or heading home, James would put on his chef whites and go and work for free in some of London’s top restaurants, just to learn and explore his passion of food.

When he came to Australia, he was blown away by the quality of the produce available but shocked at how little it was being used, which inspired the start of Food Orbit.

Food Orbit is changing the food system; making buying and selling local and responsibly farmed food, simple! Enabling wholesale buyers; such as chefs and restaurateurs, to connect and trade directly with local farmers and producers online.

In shortening the supply chain we can cut out the middleman to ensure farmers get a fair price. Local farmers will have a place for them to tell their story, about their farm and farming practices, list their inventory and promote their business online. This will be done in a highly visual and searchable format to allow buyers to easily search for produce by location and farm before placing one order from multiple farms.

We have ambitious goals and a great vision, to see every restaurant; café, school, hospital and prison using locally sourced produce through Food Orbit.

Jake McKeon - Moodswing

Jake is a 24 year old entrepreneur with an an adventurous spirit. He is always looking for excitement and new challenges out of life, and unfortunately (or fortunately) his office job was providing neither. Jake resigned from a promising corporate career, determined to escape the 9-to-5 office routine.

Not one to shy away from a risk, Jake decided to jump into uncharted territory and follow through on a business idea brewing inside my mind for months and finally Moodswing was born.

Jake am a firm advocate for the ‘you only live once’ motto and fascinated by success: he will leave no stone unturned on the pursuit of his own.
Moodswing is a social sharing iPhone app.

Moodswing is the fun and quirky place to share the way you feel with friends and family.

The team at Moodswing believes in doing business for the greater good. A fundamental ambition of ours is to help raise awareness of mental illness. Although we encourage the fun and quirky nature the app represents, it is important to recognize that mental illness and a person’s emotions are serious matters.
