JimJim Taggart – Taggart/Austbrokers


Jim’s career began as a teacher & Deputy Principal of a Catholic High School. Since entering the financial services industry in 1987 he has successfully developed his businesses to service nearly 5000 clients.


These businesses were operating under their own Australian Financial Services Licenses from 2004 until July 2012 when the businesses became part of the Austbrokers Holdings Ltd companies. Jim has completed a Masters Degree in Commerce majoring in Financial Planning Diploma of Teaching Bachelor of Arts & Master of Arts from Macquarie University holds the FChFP & is a Certified Financial Plannerâ„¢. Jim has attained a Doctorate in Business Administration.


Jim has lived in Kellyville for over 30 years. He has been actively involved in community activities such as the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal, Local Chambers of Commerce, was Chairman for the Sydney 2000 Olympics Fundraising Committee for Western Sydney, is a past Chairman of the Board for TAFE – Western Sydney District, past Board member of Cumberland Industries Limited, & is a current Board member of the LNA (Landscape NSW & ACT Limited a current Board member of North West Disability Services a current Board member of the Western Sydney Academy of Sport and chairs the fundraising committee for the Academy.


In January 2006 Jim was awarded with the Hills Shire 2006 Australia Day Award for Community Service. Jim received a Medal of the Order of Australia in the 2010 Australia Day honours & was invested with his medal by the Governor of NSW on 6 May 2010. Jim is a past President of the Association of Financial Advisers for Australia and past NSW Director for the Association. In July 2011 Jim was nominated to the Board of APLIC (Asia Pacific Life Insurance Council) as the Australian Representative.

StephenStephen Cartwright – NSW Business Chamber


Stephen Cartwright is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the peak business organisation in NSW, the NSW Business Chamber. Stephen is also Chief Executive Officer of Australian Business Solutions Group, and Chairman of Australian Business Lawyers, both wholly owned subsidiaries of NSW Business Chamber.


Stephen is a Director of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Australia’s largest and most representative business association, which speaks at a national and international level on behalf of the nation’s peak State and Territory Chambers of Commerce and Industry and National Industry Associations from all sectors of the economy.


On an international level, Stephen became a member of the World Chambers Federation Council in January 2011 and a director of the International Chamber of Commerce Australia in October 2011.


At the NSW Business Chamber, Stephen’s responsibility is to provide leadership and direction in establishing the Chamber as the premier business organisation in Australia, including influencing policy on a state and federal level to best serve the business community of New South Wales.

AnnabelleAnnabelle Warren – Primary Communication


Annabelle is the founder of Primary Communication, a leading strategic communication consultancy which has a range of clients in energy, social issues, technology, transport and education. She founded Primary 23 years ago.
Annabelle is currently National Chairman of the President of the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) Registered Consultancies Group and was formerly National PRIA President of the PRIA.


Annabelle was Executive Vice President of international public affairs consultancy Hill and Knowlton Asia Pacific from 2001-2003. During this time she oversaw technology and b2b clients throughout the region and was also Managing Director Hill and Knowlton China based in Beijing.


From 1997-2001 Annabelle was a full-time academic running post-graduate, under-graduate and international organisational communication programs for Charles Sturt University.


Her communication career started at IBM in Marketing and media relations. Building on this base she moved to Burson-Marsteller, a blue-chop international PR consultancy before starting her own business.


Primary Communication has evolved into a wonderful communication business employing a core of around ten full-time staff. Clients range from The Butterfly Foundation, addressing the incredible issues around eating disorders, through to Ausgrid which is seeking to keep all young people safe around electricity. Primary also works with international commercial clients in telecommunications, high speed trains, energy systems and e-security.
