Emily Simpson - The Centennial Park Labyrinth Organiser

Emily first walked a labyrinth at the Grace Cathedral in San Francisco and fell in love with it.

Walking the labyrinth is a form of active meditation – a way to quiet the mind and open the heart. She trained as a labyrinth facilitator with Veriditas in Chartres, France and has held monthly candlelit gatherings with a canvas labyrinth at the Mosman Art Gallery for the last two years.

She recently raised $500,000 to build Sydney’s first public sandstone labyrinth in Sydney’s Centennial Parklands.
