Bill Vertucci – Skater HQ

Bill Vertucci is a product of small business retail, starting at the age of 15 selling motorcycles for his family’s business in upstate New York then heading to Aspen for a 10 year stint in retail and retail management in the snow ski industry.

He is now part of a husband and wife team as co-owners of Skater HQ beginning in 1991, an enterprise consisting of 2 Sydney based retail stores and a thriving online store specialising in all types of fun rolling products from skateboards to inline skates to scooters to roller skates.

The point of difference with similar stores is their commitment to the sports represented in their unique product mix, offering coaching and lessons in every discipline.

Bill spotted the online opportunity very early as an attempt to offer the best possible service to the Skater HQ customers around the country who had previously purchased from a mail order catalogue. Bill and Barb have never underestimated the importance of taking care of their loyal customers and have had a consistent commitment to offering a high standard of customer service both in store and online.
