She is part of a team at the Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba that is looking at a surge in type 2 diabetes cases in children and youth in Northern Manitoba’s Indigenous communities. She discusses how her team in the lab collaborates with the physician scientists in the clinic to better understand what’s happening and to work towards solutions.
