Luke Cage (Mike Colter) is sued by Cockroach after his beat down at his hands. With Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) as his attorney they both agree to settle out of court with damages of $100,000. Desperate to drum up quick cash for the settlement, Luke accepts an offer from a super-fan, the broker Raymond “Piranha” Jones (Chaz Lamar Shepherd), as he celebrates the successful merger between Atreus Plastics and Glenn Industries. Meanwhile, Misty Knight (Simone Missick) starts to get to grips with her new robotic arm from Rand Enterprises. To help Luke out she investigates Dontrelle “Cockroach”Hamilton (Dorian Missick) further only to later find hm decapitated in his apartment. In downtown Harlem, Mariah Dillard (Alfre Woodard) uses her windfall to open her Family First center and invites Tilda (Gabrielle Dennis) to join the new “legitimate” family business. However, there is talk of the disappearance of Atreus CEO Mike Higgins (Jeorge Bennett Watson) and Shades (Theo Rossi) begins to notice the absence of one of his henchmen Ray Ray. As Mariah Dillard (Alfre Woodard) holds the opening ceremony for her center and Piranha’s party starts up, both are gatecrashed by Bushmaster (Mustafa Shakir) . As Luke prevents the kidnap of Piranha by the Stylers, Mariah cuts the red ribbon only to be served a red message three-fold!
