With the sound of bullets still ringing across Harlem from the Harlem Paradise shootout, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) manages to escape to the kitchen of the club with an injured Misty Knight (Simone Missick). At the same time Willis Stryker (Erik LaRay Harvey) takes Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson), Candace (Deborah Ayorinde), the VIP hostess who testified against Cage, and the other civilians hostage. As the police surround the club, Shades (Theo Rossi) and Stryker’s mercenaries infiltrate it and Claire learns the truth about Cottonmouth’s death from Candace; as Stryker uses the civilian hostages to bargain with Cage, demanding that they meet to finish their feud once and for all. In the ensuing chaos Stryker escapes from Luke Cage, after killing Dillard’s fellow party member Boone (Clark Jackson), just as the police SWAT team storms into Harlem’s Paradise. As they move through the club Luke Cage is forced to surrender under the threat of the Judas bullets supplied to the police by Mariah Dillard (Alfre Woodard) and is placed in custody along with Shades Alvarez.
