Luke Cage Episode 9 Review Podcast “DWYCK” Spoiler filled Synopsis
Written by Christian Taylor
Directed by Tom Shankland
After his second bullet wound at the hands of Willis Stryker (Erik LaRay Harvey), Luke Cage’s (Mike Colter) wounds begin to turn septic. As he reunites with Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) they become increasingly desperate to find a way of removing the Judas bullet shrapnel and in so doing they head back down south to Georgia and Doctor Noah Berstein (Michael Kostroff) as Luke begins to weaken. Elsewhere in Harlem, in the vacuum of Cornell Stoke’s murder, an uneasy alliance forms between Mariah Dillard (Alfre Woodard), Shades (Theo Rossi) and Diamondback. At a meeting of the local crime bosses Diamondback kills all of them except Domingo Colon (Jacob Vargas) and only spares Dillard after she proves her worth.
Misty Knight (Simone Missick) is hauled in front of a police psychologist who evaluates her breakdown on the job. As Knight is released and tasked to find Luke Cage, he arrives at Berstein’s house where using Reva’s data stick from Cage’s chain Berstein hopes to try and remove the bullet fragments. As he lowers Luke Cage into a boiling tank of acid the pain becomes too much as the ECG flat lines!
