Some of the worst acts of persecution committed against followers of Jesus are directed towards those who have converted from another religion. Nadalla Alrajo grew up in a strict Muslim home in Syria but, even as a child, he began to question his Islamic faith. Eventually, Nadalla made the choice to follow Christ – a decision that not only changed his life forever, but also put him at risk of extreme danger.

Forced to flee for his safety, Nadalla left his home country of Syria for Lebanon. However, his father – who was a Muslim leader and a powerful businessman – remained determined to kill his son for leaving Islam. In this episode of Closer to the Fire, Nadalla joins host Greg Musselman to talk about his decision to follow Jesus, the murder of his brother by their militant father, the many attacks he has suffered for his Christian faith, and his unwavering passion to reach Muslims with the Gospel message.
