Campfire Stories 2022 | Week #06 Let Me Check My Schedule God | August 7th

August 08, 2022

What’s the Issue Anyway?

We have moments of disillusionment that challenge our WILLINGNESS. Without willingness we won’t see our WOUNDS move from stupid to sacred.

What Wisdom does Isaiah 6 offer us today?

Isaiah was in a moment of religious DISILLUSIONMENT. (1)

The six wings symbolize HUMILITY, REVERENCE and READINESS before God. (2)

Isaiah experienced God in a way that made sense to him in his CULTURAL MATRIX. (3-4) Grace is the healing of the wound we all experience from the foundational lie of DIVINE

unworthiness and unforgiveness. (5-7) Isaiah is WILLING to live as a sent person. (8) The Message doesn’t feel too POPULAR. (9-12) Isaiah’s faithfulness was his SUCCESS STORY.

Don’t Miss This!

Sent people are WILLING and FAITHFUL people.

How can I live this out in my everyday, normal life?

Am I a peacemaker with a spirit of HUMILITY, REVERENCE and READINESS? Am I experiencing religious DISILLUSIONMENT as a beginning or an ending? Do I see myself as a SENT person?

How does living as a sent person make me and the world a better place?

Sent people baptize every circumstance with the hope of MEANING and PURPOSE.

What is God inviting you into today?

1. Begin to see the places of my everyday normal life as places God has sent me.

2. I would like to explore where God is sending me to volunteer in Crossroads Church.

3. I would like to learn about our Partner Organizations and see where God might be sending me.

  6. What is the difference between these two statements:

a. “Everything happens for a purpose.”

b. “I have a purpose in everything that happens.”
