21: Mote Bergman (1887-1978)

April 10, 2019

Mote Bergman of Pennsylvania ran/walked the same number of miles as his age each year on his birthday. He did this for nearly 70 years. He ran/walked a sub-24-hour 100-miler in 1950, probably the first American to do so, in the modern era of ultrarunning.
