Welcome to episode 2 of the Critical Thinking About Science podcast!

In this episode I introduce the concept of "science literacy" by framing it within the larger question of what we think our political representatives should know about science.

And I use an example -- a statement about how science works, from a politician -- to illustrate a misconception about scientific reasoning that is easy to explain when it's pointed out, but that many people would have a very hard time explaining without some coaching.
