In this episode, Mike and Chad invite Megan Bestwick to discuss her primary research topic, mitochondria.  Mitochondria are organelles within our cells that ultimately create the energy currency that our cells need in order to do anything.  We discuss the processes of mitochondria, how they are useful in forensics, and where they came from.
