Ep 523. Refreshing Rain: a calming bedtime and nap time story with a positive message

October 24, 2025

Claude the Cloud rains down on Ahway Island, but realizes people might need some sunshine for a while.

Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new stories this week. Now, welcome to Favorite Friday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Please enjoy “Refreshing Rain,” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!

Narrator: Male

Story Begins: 3:49

Refreshing Rain Excerpt:

One morning on Ahway Island, a fluffy little grey cloud drifted across the sky. Claude the Cloud smiled at the earth below him. He was still pretty new at being a cloud, but so far he really liked his work. He especially enjoyed bringing water and shadow to all the plants, animals, and people below him. They usually seemed so refreshed and happy after a little rain, and Claude had been giving them plenty recently. For days, the little cloud had rained and rained. Now, all the plants were a bright green, the lakes were full, and there were even plenty of puddles to splash in.

Today, to give himself a little rest, he decided to just let a little water drizzle down to the earth—just a light mist. While he was misting, he would check in to see how the earth below was doing. So the little cloud listened carefully to hear what the people, animals, and plants were thinking about the rain.
