Be Calm on Ahway Island Bedtime Stories

Ep 927. Backyard Garden: a meditation and relaxing story for children
Helen’s brother Miles wants to grow a garden in the backyard. There’s just one problem: Helen doesn’t like vegetables!
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 3:17
Backyard Garden Excerpt:
Winter on Ahway Island was finally nearing its end, and the first whispers of spring were beginning. Soft sunshine melted the last bits of snow, and the ground was waking up from its long winter nap. Birds and animals began stirring about, and the bravest flowers had started to poke themselves out of the cold earth for the first time in many months.
Even the humans were getting ready for spring. At Helen’s house, Helen found her older brother Miles sitting at the kitchen table, sketching something on a piece of paper. Curious, Helen peeked over his shoulder. “What’s that?” she asked.
Miles turned the paper so Helen could see. “It’s my garden plan!” he said. “Mom said I can make a garden in the backyard, and I’m figuring out what I want to plant.”
